Unitus Community Credit Union in Salem, OR

I've had nothing but problems with them from day one. I thought they would be better than a bank. Nope! To top it all off, they make it hell to get your money out and close your account. They want to send me a check for MY MONEY!!! Unbelievable.

I have been a great customer with this bank and was good on making my car payments. I had been working deligently working on getting my credit score up to get a home for my family and was just within finger tips reach, which is why I was so excited about making my last car payment to them. I checked my score knowing surely I had finally made it only to find that they reported that they closed my account due to my last and final payment being late, my score went down a whole 100 pts. I thought this was a total mistake and called them right away, a couple days later they call me and rudely tell me that I was late and couldn't do anything to help me! I was not late though! Now I'm struggling again, thank's a lot, you really know how to "help" the community.

Just opened a checking, savings, and auto loan here with my husband and as far as bank staff goes...they're tops. Everyone knows what's going on with your account (no matter who answers the phone) and is able to answer any and all questions. The approved my car refinance over the phone the same day, and were able to cut my APR in half! I'll be saving over a thousand dollars on my car loan because of them, and I never have to wait for a call back. Thank goodness there are still awesome people in this world like them!

My wife and I went in to open an account today, and they refused to open it because my wife's driver license has the address for our other home on it. The teller was extremely rude, and the manager wasn't helpful, either. Come to find out, if we had opened an account online instead of in person... They wouldn't have even known. How is that for ridiculous? First Tech was more than willing to work with us. After today's experience, I won't ever give Unitas my business or my money.

I love Unitus. I have been with them for so long and I have nothing but amazing things to say. They are awesome and always friendly. They have been there for me when I've needed them. Best credit union.
