Absolutely horrendous customer service.

Excellent. Quick turnaround. Very throughout. Provided me with a list of items we needed to get preapproved. After preapproval we were pushed to underwriting which only took around a week. Tammy was very quick and excellent about getting back to me during the process. I felt comfortable providing my personal documentation to her as she was extremely professional and knowledgeable with the entire process. I had never heard of this place prior to hearing of it from a local builder. I researched the company and found nothing but excellent reviews throughout the country. Excellent mortgage company, I will recommend them to anyone looking for a mortgage broker. FYI: We used the VA loan product and this company was very knowledgeable with the VA loan (Thank goodness for a hubby with retired military service... that VA loan is the SHIIIZZNITT).

Customer service is courteous and helpful when you call in. I have a problem, however, with two things: 1. Caliber offers you the opportunity of making bi-weekly payments but do not inform you that paying early does not help you. The first payment sits in your account till the second one comes in and then both are applied as payment. So Caliber gets the benefit of the early payment you made, whereas the consumer does not get any benefit at all, unless for some reason they just want to pay early. 2. I just got an email for refinancing at the same rate for 30 years. The email said this: "Getting a lower monthly rate and paying less over the life of your loan just makes sense." This is totally incorrect. If I refinance for 30 more years, I will end up paying closing costs and will pay more interest since the loan period will get extended. I am interpreting this as false marketing to make money at the cost of the consumer and would like to see a response from Caliber if they think my interpretation is wrong. Other companies probably do this as well - so it might not be just Caliber.
