We did not have a very good experience with Neighborhood Loans. After taking weeks to process our loan and requesting 3 times more paperwork than any other loan I have ever gotten, they tried to get us to switch from a 15 yr loan to 30 yr. at a higher interest rate. They were responsive at first, but then it was hard to get them to ever continue with the process. We paid almost $500 for an appraisal and we have still not received a copy of it and it has been several weeks. They told us that it came back for the qualifying amount, but they never produced the paperwork. They are nice people to talk with, but they do not produce results. Now we have wasted over 2 months and have to start all over.
