Credit Union of the Rockies in Golden, CO

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Don't trust these clowns with your money. Just a few weeks after I opened my account, they charged my checking account for a $1000 check that wasn't mine and it took a week to get that fixed. I closed my account in nov 2016, and yet I still get monthly emails from them telling me my statement is available. I called just now and was told that somebody didn't complete the account closure process. Not surprised! Hopefully it's all closed now. But I would NEVER open an account with them again.

I have been a member of Credit Union of the Rockies for over 28 years and my husband for over 30. We have had nothing but positive experiences. We have been members of other credit unions and banks, but have eventually closed all of those accounts because they paled in comparison to the services and help we've gotten at the Rockies. In response to the reviewer who said his savings was drained for a monthly fee...the only monthly fee that I am aware of is for receiving a physical monthly statement. This can be avoided by getting an electronic statement. I have never been charged a monthly fee for anything in the 28+ years of being a member.

I have to disagree with other reviews. I've had an account with RUofR for almost 20 years (opened when I was 16) and they have always been responsive and kind. The online banking is great, and you can have multiple savings easily to make financial goals. Also, they have a stellar interest rate for savings.

Have has an account with CU of the Rockies for several years. Overall experience has been good. Great interest rates. Helpful and friendly.

I like credit unions and local businesses. However I have been trying to work with a particular loan officer for months just to get a simple refinance. I am not the one to review places, but when it comes to needing this institution financial support. They have not provided this to me. Can't even get a call from the loan officer. Poor. Otherwise getting a loan is easy (of course) and low interest rates.
