Brian and Karen are rockstars! Have done business with them for many years. Not always happy circumstances that leads one to a pawnshop; they have helped me out so many times. I am grateful for their professionalism and friendly, non-judgemental demeanor. If you find yourself in a situation where you need their help I highly recommend them!

The folks at the saloon that shares the same establishment are kind and friendly, a stark difference to those in the pawnshop however...Very rude and one could even say hostile to new business. It's been quite some time since I've been treated so poorly by a business. I advise anybody planning on visiting a pawn shop to not visit this one, you won't have a good time. Believe me.

This is the best pawn shop around, honest people working here always have been more than fair with me. There have been a couple of times my loan was due and they could have claimed my item, but they have always allowed me to come in after hours or next day to drop off payment. This is the most fair and honest shop in the Seattle area. Don't let the unfair reviews keep you from experiencing the best pawn shop around. Its becoming a rare thing for a business to be as honest and trustworthy as YUPPIE PAWN.

YUPPIE PAWN SHOP IS THE GREATEST PAWN SHOP THAT I'VE EVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE & PLEASURE TO HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH & WILL CONTINUE DOING BUSINESS FOR YEARS TO COME. BRIAN AND KAREN HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF ME FOR THE PAST 15 PLUS YEARS THEY TRULY HAVE BECOME FAMILY TO ME. Hi folks, I am the apparently the "not nice" owner of Yuppie Pawn. Its a difficult, and rewarding profession, and we love it, and go out of our way to be considerate and helpful. But please don't think we aren't capable of returning nasty behavior. If we can't help you, we do our best to direct you to someone who can. That being said, if you have unrealistic expectations, then nothing I can do will likely make you happy. You were already having financial issues when you walked in door, and my not appreciating the crazy value you have on your 10 year old tv isn't going to improve your bad day . If you came in with lets say a Rolex that you purchased 5 years ago for $5,000. and you want to borrow $5,000. dollars when the current value is $2,500.00 - you will be unhappy. If you don't come and reclaim your Rolex I am going to need to sell it for $2,500. or less, therefore I have to lend you less then the $2,500. However, the disgruntled potential borrower will say, that he/she is coming back and I should lend them more. I have a whole store full of goodies where the borrower promised they were coming back and they didn't, and like the sucker that I am, I probably gave them more. It is likely that they may have indeed wanted to come back for some number of reasons couldn't. So for a guy who is so "not so nice", why do I take the time to call you when you are late? Because I want you to have your item, and I want my interest. We go out of our way to be helpful. It simply isn't our doing that some people have unrealistic expectations. Unfortunately, it is people who don't get what they want that typically take the time to rant and rave with negative reviews. It's alright, because like in a marriage, you can't make people happy all the time. But we make thousands of borrowers happy, and they come back again and again, and new customers keep coming too.
