I have been looking for a bank in the local area to join (since my primary bank is 100% online) and went into this branch to see about getting a paper notarized and opening an account. The younger guy working there was very nice when I came in and let me know where to wait for the notary, but then another woman interrupted him and called me over - acting aggressive to begin with and raising her eyebrows at me. For starters, she flat out refused to do the notary for me (even after I offered to pay as a non-member). Ok, I get it. I wasn't a member (but many places still provide the service and just charge non-members a fee) Then, I explained to her that I'm a veteran and was looking for a local bank to join because USAA is entirely online, so I asked about opening an account there. The woman (middle-aged woman working at 10:40 AM on Monday, 1 June) raised her eyebrows at me again and said she doubted that I'd even use the account, so NO, I could not open an account of any sort. She didn't even let me apply or say anything else about it. Capitol One has never been high on my list, but now they are way at the bottom. I cannot believe how rude this woman was, or the fact that I was just completely denied the chance to open an account with them. I'm disgusted.
