Fort Knox Federal Credit Union in Elizabethtown, KY

There’s probably a better bank across the street. I’m 53 years old and had 4 banks my entire life. Left the Military, worked for corporate America for 28 years and have my Ph.D. I banked at Ft. Knox Federal Credit Union for a couple years. It was hit and miss customer service wise. Some days they would deposit my checks some days it was awful. Mostly same company just different amounts. The last two visits I was treated very badly, rude and like a criminal. I had a fair amount of money (over $20,000) and never asked for anything out of the ordinary. So today I waited for the people who, I guess approve loans etc.. I ask the young woman if she was the person I was supposed to talk too. It went downhill from there. I explained what had been going on and, well they had closed my accounts. Sort of … seems savings was open but they wouldn't let me deposit the check and I had to pay $15.00 to reopen another account. So I’m on my 5th bank … Unbelievable! Ps they did cut me a check for the money I had in my account so I have that going for me!
