Very professional and extremely helpful. I didn't have one single problem in the closing of my house thanks to the staff of American Bancshares. I would recommend them without hesitation

I DO NOT recommend this branch. Twice my house deals fell through. First time the income verification was delayed and the appraisal took too long to get. Then had to pay extra for a condo questionnaire that I wasn't apprised on from the beginning. Seller got a cash buyer due to the delay and moved on. Second time was told I was pre approved when I really wasn't. Underwriter made a mistake and left or was fired. After spending money unnecessarily on title search, appraisal (I was told they would pay for it, but didn't), inspection, etc. I was hit with the bombshell: "You're not approved. We made a mistake." When I texted the loan officer Justo Montiel that I would hold him and his company responsible. He answered within 2 minutes and said: "I don't take threats lightly." No apology? No communication earlier that lead to more wasted time? He wasn't too busy to show his true colors. I called his boss and at least he apologized. My recommendation stay away from this branch. Lennar Builders told me to do so. And I had gotten a so called "Pre Approval" on a town home. I wanted to buy at this community. I didn't listen. Per them, many loans went south and they lost a lot of money, so they scrapped them as preferred lenders. They will charm you with the honey of their sweet voices when they think they have a deal. But they know how to change their tune and cover their butt by assuming no responsibility whatsoever. It was a very sour experience that not one person deserves. You are much better off with Quicken loans, Wells Fargo or any of the giants. They will tell you upfront with little chance for error what you really qualify for.
