Check Into Cash in Lacey, WA

After recently moving to the area, I found that my bank did not have any offices nearby. This place happened to be close to my job, so I called them to verify that they cashed personal checks. They informed me they did but that they could not discuss prices over the phone. Since I only had a 30 minute lunch break I decided to give them a shot. After a brief wait, I handed the clerk the check in question and asked how much it would cost to cash. She told me that there was a fee to open an account with them, a fee for the check (which she had in her hand) and a total for the transaction. I repeated the total back to her and she confirmed. I agreed to proceed with the transaction. After signing multiple forms, disclosing my social security number, and being fingerprinted, she then informed me that because it was a personal check the fee was 50% more than the already verified amount we had discussed. I told her that that at this point to go ahead as I had to return to work, and expressed my unhappiness with the service. After collecting my cash, I noticed holder with management business cards in it and reached for one. The teller told me "matter of factly" that his name was Ryan, and was not at all concerned with protecting the paper with my social on it, which was still on the customer side of the counter as the next customer approached it. I wish I had not done business at all with these people.

I have been doing business with check into cash for three years off and on now. I used to recommend them to anyone looking for a loan or check cashing because they had wonderful customer service and were always willing to work with you on payments, etc. Well that was back when Angela was and manager and Will still worked there. Since they have gotten new staff the customer service has been a zero, they NEVER answer there phones(unless of course your in there in person trying to make a payment and then its ten phone calls being answered before they assist you, even though you were there before the phone rings) they are highly unprofessional, lock the doors before closing time because they're unable to do work in a timely manner get an attitude when they have to let you in, and then tell the customers they have to wait to until they are done processing these papers before they can help them. As soon as I close out my loan I will never be going back to this place and never would I recommend them to anyone again.
