America First Credit Union (inside Harmons) in Midvale, UT

I am a member here. Went into this branch to open another account. The "loan officer" was in her office not helping another customer. I went to the office because I know a teller cannot help me and there were at least ten people in a growing line. She advised me to get into the line so a teller can allow me to see her. Seriously. She's helping no one, and I have to get into a line of people to ask for her. Just in case someone else in that line needs her...which I highly doubted!!! So I get into this ridiculously long line, finally get to a teller, who then sits me in a seat outside this office that not a single other customer has walked into. After about 3 or 4 minutes, she let me into her office, told me I didn't have what I needed, hence nothing was done. She could've asked this one simple question when she first spoke to me! This branch also makes me do extra steps to deposit a check of mine with a different last name. I understand this...but I've used three, maybe four, other branches over the course of a year that NEVER had me do these extra steps. Only this branch have I been made to jump through every hoop to get anything done.

The tellers are always nice.

I was told I would receive a call the next day with a response. I waited all day and nothing. When I called the decision had been made but nobody had the courtesy to call. If you have an answer call the customer. Don't let it sit on your desk waiting for the customer to call. Also, the phone number on the business card is a non working number.

Seriously one of the busiest branches (weekends, lunch, and after work) buy they still help with a smile. Really operate like a larger branch. Just wish sometimes they had more staff to do loans and the more advanced stuff on weekends.

If I could give a zero rating I seriously would. I have been trying to set up my online banking and the girl I talked to on the phone was full of attitude and seriously disrespectful and completely unhelpful telling me I had to go in to a branch to be helped. I go into the branch and waste my time standing in line to be told they can't give me any information on a JOINT account without speaking to my husband. This is absolutely ridiculous customer service. Use another financial institution. You'll be better off.
