I was working with Rick Linn from Guaranteed Rate to get a loan for my first house. We met multiple times to prepare all the paperwork, but when I ended up winning the auction for my dream home, he dropped all contact without a trace. I left him multiple message and he wouldn't answer my calls. I had my fiance call him and he answered, making me believe he was screening my calls specifically. I ended up having to go with another lender because the timeline for the auction required a quick turnaround (and ended up getting a better rate so I guess I'm not that upset). I still haven't heard from Rick to this day. Very disappointing. If a lender isn't going to do business with me for whatever reason I at least expect them to inform me instead of ignore my calls emails and leave me to scramble looking for a deal last minute.
