Money Management International (MMI) in Sugar Land, TX

Through MMI I was able to pay off credit card debt within a reasonable amount of time at a much lower interest rate. The customer service is great, MMI was a life saver.

On september 21, Sheri Williams helped me set up a debt management plan due to my high credit card usage (I did NOT have any late payment or negative mark on my credit report). She helped me reduced my interest in several credit cards by a significant amount. When asking me about the risk of getting a negative mark, she stated that, as long as I kept making the payments through them on time, I was not going to have any negative mark. When I revised the contract they provided, I saw there could be a negative impact but she insisted again that, as long as I kept making the payments, I was not likely to be reported. For my surprise, I checked my credit report on 11/14/16 and found a 60 days late payment with one of the creditors (Capital One). Me debt was NOT due when I enrolled into the program with MMI and she DID NOT advice me to make the payments for the transition month. She told me MMI was going to manage and keep the account current from that moment if I made the payments on time. I trusted MMI's advisor and I firmly believe I did everything she advice me to do. I looked for help through them specifically to avoid this situation that is now happening. My credit report has dropped 80 points because of that.
