Neighborhood Credit Union in Richardson, TX

This credit union was awesome. Helped me with a car loan and the process was quick and seamless. The manager Robert was very nice, personable and professional. I am so glad that I decided to be apart of this credit union.

Neighborhood Credit Union is a Co-op Shared Branch CU, which is handy if you being to another credit union and need to make a transaction. There are other CUs, like Texans, do not participate in Co-op Shared Branch. (Download apps from Google Play Store to locate the nearest participating CSB.) They have some unique features that are really great, like Kasasa Cash. If you make 15 transactions on your NCU debit card during the month, you pay no fees for using other CUs ATMs and you earn cash, too! Kasasa Music is another feature you can get on an NCU account, but you earn credit for music instead. The only downside is that the ATM at this branch doesn't accept deposits at night. I don't know why that is. NCU has a number of branches, mainly in North Dallas. Safe deposit boxes are available at the main branch. NCU also offers mobile and online banking to make life more convenient.

I switched to Pegasus Community Credit Union from Chase a few years ago. Chase kept inundating me with hidden fees so I got fed up and took my money back. Chase branches were sub par but the service was never too bad. Now that pegasus is Neighborhood credit union, most of the branches I have been to have been top notch or as good as they were with pegasus. I went to this branch two days ago to get more cash than an ATM would dispense and had to be back at work in 30 minutes which should have been ample time, I got there and was the second in line. I waited 45 minutes as a blonde whom was obviously new stumbled around with each customer taking way too long: bless her heart as she was empathetic to the business that was in her door and apologetic for her inability. Her african american manager sat there and watched her, refused to take initiative and help the line of customers that developed over the 45 minutes I waited for her teller to take care of two customers. That same manager did not even acknowledge the presence of any customers nor the potential revenue in her branch. I had a 45 minute chat with another gentleman in line whom was also baffled as he had switched from bank of america for the same reason. What a customer service disaster, do not visit this branch, go to love field or spring valley, unless you want to dedicate your day to inefficiency.

Joining & getting established here was a breeze with the assistance of Jose at the Addison location. The app is great & website very helpful. Getting the payments set up without going into the bank is an initial process, but good to go following. Lots of choices and low interest rates helping me out financially!
