My wife lost her mother last year and after the funeral the process of closing out her estate began. She was met with kindness and compassion from everyone she encountered until she went to close the last account at Capital One. Even though she was listed on the account as POD she was turned away. Her mother had listed her by her middle and last name which she has always gone by. Her drivers license has first, middle and last which they would not accept. Every other bank she had dealt with didn’t have a problem with this. Capital One suggested she go to court and have her name changed. Brilliant, right but that’s not going to happen. I guess they will get to keep the money. They should change their slogan from “What’s in your wallet” to “We don’t care”.

Terrible service. I worked in as a new customer to open a new account. I waited more than 45mins with noone to attend to me. After 20 minutes of waiting i asked one of their banker, he said 20 mins and after 20.mins nothing. Too long of a wait
