BBVA Compass in Garland, TX

It's difficult to give an overall score. The retail staff at the Garland branch are very friendly and helpful. Their commercial/business divisions are absolutely hopeless. We have been very frustrated with their SBA loan branch who refuse to renegotiate or refinance our commercial mortgage loan dating back to 2003 (so we know the rates are lower now). So much so that we are taking all our banking elsewhere after 7 years of doing business with them. We did manage to finance a significant equipment purchase loan last year but the process was full of last minute surprises and incompetence on the part of the commercial loan rep. Bottom line. For personal banking - no problems, for business banking - run don't walk.

This is by far one of the slowest banks I have ever been to. Been banking with BBVA Compass for year and they decided to raise my business banking minimum a few grand higher so they can get a $15 fee out of me every month. I thinks it's about time for me to find a new bank. Don't recommend BBVA Compass Bank especially the one off Garland Rd and 190. Not happy with them!

They need to train their tellers with consistence methods. In the last year I have been told 3 different procedures for simple things like deposits at the same branch. Once I told the teller they were two different deposits the account number on back as one was made out to me and one was made out to company and when I got one receipt instead of two I was told can't you just transfer it into the right account. My thought was I am standing right here can't you just correct your own mistake.

sent $700 in the plastic thing in drive thru and got a deposit slip for $220 - they said "they never got the deposit slip or the other $480" it just disappeared. Very rude! stole $480 cash from a single mom ! DO NOT BANK HERE
