Southside Bank in Euless, TX

I have been with this bank since they were Carswell Credit Union in the 80s. While the staff has been friendly, the banking policies are not. Their system to look up account information to process a transaction is seriously outdated and it takes way too long to make a deposit, or any other banking transaction. From my experience with other banks, I could say that it takes at least 4 times as long to process a transaction with Omni. Their staff turnover rivals the gas station where I get my gas. As soon as you get to know someone there, they are gone the next time you visit. However, I must say the tellers have all been friendly and professional. Above the teller level, it's a different story. In addition, despite the fact that I have been a customer with them for more than 25 years, and that I have direct deposit of my retirement check, they don't seem to care about that record at all. I will be closing out the account soon, and going with Comerica Bank, where I have a business account, and where they truly value a banking relationship.

Very slow service

Whether it was the old Omni American, or the new owners' Southside Bank, the staff has always been helpful and courteous. It's typically not too busy except, of course for the Monday and Friday (and pre-Holiday) rush hours. They follow new bank's rules, but tell me they are same staff. They were helpful when I had a series of problems with my car costing about $1000, making the payments difficult. If you are having issues with making payment, talk to them first.

The staff is friendly, but sometimes not so informed at the Tyler location.....Their hours of operation are horrible, kind OF reminds me of the 60s or 70s. They charge for new cards that are lost or stolen. I am looking to get away from this establishment. they are so behind in the times and irritating at times.

I should have listened to the other bad reviews about this bank. I wanted to start saving up for Christmas at a separate bank so the money wouldn't be as easy to get to. I decided to go with this location because it was on the way to work. The people are nice but that's all I can say good about the place. The ATM hardly ever worked and when it would take my card it wouldn't take my cash. The whole reason I did this was for convenience so I decided I had make a mistake and wanted to close the account. Come to find out there is a $20 early termination fee!! So when I decided that bank was not good enough they got to keep some of my money. The place is crooked. Believe me this time, don't make the same mistake I did.
