Franklin American mortgage is competitive on their upfront rates, but are costing us dearly in the long run. The way they process payments makes it difficult to manage your account. Departments do not communicate well with each other. When calling customer service there are extended times on hold, dropped and disconnected calls, multiple transfers, and no resolution. I deeply regret working with this company.

Possibly the most disorganized and robotic organization I've ever dealt with. Step one, deal with escrow myself. Step two, pay this thing off to get out from under this business. Seriously, you people act like mortgages are an unfamiliar side business.

Grossly incompetent as employment verification for the military. If you are in the reserves or the National Guard do not use this company as your lender. They do not understand the difference between active Army, National Guard, and the Reserve. Their rates are so so, but their employment verification is the worst. They will hold you from closing because they don't know how to get ahold of people at an appropriate time. I will never use this company again and I will refinance with someone else as quickly as possible.
