I would give zero stars. they have NO 24 hour service and their drive thru ATM machines shut down on you in the middle of transactions. no record of deposits or no cash from withdrawals. we now have no money for 4 days until the bank reopens. this is absolutely unacceptable. This is the worst bank I have ever experienced.

This credit union has really gone downhill the past year. I've had my business accounts through them for over 3 years now and there is no 24 hour support, it takes you 30-45 minutes to get a person on the phone for support if you call their support number and you're always told it's because of "technical difficulties" 6 months of technical difficulties is far too long one would think. I don't have 30-45 minutes to wait on hold for simple questions. In addition during the setup of my new account a few mistakes were made, as well as with depositing money the amounts were wrong and I had to call and wait on hold for 1 hour to get through to a representative and have an answer. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but I can't deal with this any longer. Take my review with a grain of salt. Just my two cents. I wish this company the best, I really do, but it's just not the right fit for me and my needs.

The floor staff is very professional and friendly as are the over-the-phone customer service representatives… when you can actually get a hold of one! Upper management really needs to spend some money on more customer service representatives. Wait times are egregious no matter what time you call and sometimes the department you are directed to doesn’t even pick up! I was at the Tag Office trying to register my car and needed to get a hold of the Auto Loan department to have them fax over a copy of my title. After having my call directed to this department by the initial representative I ended up waiting on hold for 30+ mins only to have the automated system hang up on me. Good thing I don’t have a job or anything and enjoy spending all day at the Tag Office. Until customer service becomes more reliable I would not recommend SC Federal to a friend. Rome wasn’t built in a day but a good first step would be to offer a callback instead of having customers wait on hold forever.
