If you could do no stars I would ,worst bank ever.Always long lines, never enough tellers. The tellers inside have to take care of drive thru as well even with the long lines. I would never open an account there if I didn't have to go there for work I would never step foot in the place. Bank of America should be a shamed.

My husband received a check from a client that was issued from BOA, and went to cash it at the Newport Ave, Pawtucket Rhode Island branch. It was a Friday morning, so the lines were long, however there were 3 tellers to wait on a line of about 30 customers. We do not have an account with BOA, however the business we were dealing with did. After waiting in the car for 30 min, I went in to see what was taking so long. He was at the teller, who was staring blankly at the computer with the bank manager. They were whispering with each other and seemed lost. I asked my husband if there was a problem and he said I don't know. He said the manager had to be called over because the check was over 1000. I asked the manager what was wrong and she said she just had to verify. She never picked up the phone to call the company, and Continued to whisper with the teller. I asked her why she wasn't calling the issuer.......and she looked at my husband with a fecicious grin and asked him if this was a check he received monthly through an employer, or weekly, and what was the checks purpose? It was transparent and I was offended and asked her why she needed to know this. She wearily replied that she needed to protect her customer, whom she still failed to attempt to reach. I told her that frankly it wasn't any of her business, and that she should call her customer promptly since he had waited 30 minutes in line and then another 15 watching her and the teller whisper to each other. She refused while laughing and stated that we were to leave the bank immediately because I had "verbally abused" her by making the comment and told us to take the check to our bank and stamped it with a code. I asked her for her card, and she stated she would be writing a complaint about ME in the computer. This was absurd, and I told her I was not abusing her, I did not swear, name call, or berate her, I merely asserted our right to privacy, and that her unprofessionalism was witnessed by numerous customers behind me. We left and went to another branch, and the manager there told us since she wrote on the check a certain code that he had to get another check from the issuer!!!! That was about a 50 mile ride!. This manager was so rediculous, I couldn't even believe she held the position. As a bank manager, surely she has seen checks MUCH larger. BOA should take notice of this manager ASAP and realize that this girl has cost them way more than the $8 check cashing fee. You see, the kicker of it is he is a loan officer in charge of connecting customers with banks competing to issue loans. He sells millions of dollars worth of interest paying loans and now has this terrible experience with BOA to consider. Are you still smiling and laughing at us because you wouldn't cash a measly $5500 check Dania???

Terrible customer service they don't care about business. If you want to open a business account go to another place. Also everyone there give you different answers.

Went into this branch Thursday morning at btw 9-930a. Wanted to see how the lines are and how many customer service reps are available for clients (only 1). Interested in opening an account with Bank of America but put off by the epic bad reviews on the consumer web sights. 2 tellers helping clients with an additional 3 doing nothing to help the increasingly growing line behind me. It took 10 minutes to step up to a teller, requested to speak to someone about opening a new account. She requested my license for whatever invasive reason and I am then informed to take a seat for the next available representative. Being a busy individual, I asked how long will it be to see a rep. The response from the teller was enough for me to change my mind. First off, 2 people ahead me does not give me an estimated time I will be taken care of. This is NOT the branch anyone would want to visit or open an account. The raised eyebrow looks that the tellers gave me in response to my informing them that this branch obviously has a wait time issue and isnt for me, was fairly low class and unprofessional. I guess this is what to expect from one of the few banks that was rescued by the Federal Govt ..Lesson learned. At both credit unions that I deal with, a couple of customer service reps are available first thing in the morning...My longest wait time to see any of them at either branch in the morning has been less than 10 minutes. Usually there is never a wait.
