Review U.S. Bank Branch

This bank sucks!!! My brother has had an inner ear disability for the last eight years. Due to his disability, he was unable to read or write for about six years. About 2-3 years ago, US Bank had the foreclosure process started due to his wife not paying the mortgage note for six months. His, now, ex-wife was unwilling to be a help to him anymore because of her own issues during this time frame. After my lawyer intervened in his case and talked with US Bank's lawyer, he was told he would have to pay three months of payments and then a new contract would be implemented. U.S. Bank took 11 months to get him a new contract. He just received it and they added $17,000 to his new mortgage amount of $55,000. In essence, in my layman's opinion, they took advantage of disabled person with a disability that prevented him from reading, writing, talking on the phone, driving a car, working on a computer, listening to the radio, or watching TV. His disability involves an inner ear disorder in both ears. My brother’s ability to deal with stress is very limited. This ordeal with the bank has created extreme stress for his already serious condition. For the last 11 months, he has made these payments on time with US Bank and has not missed any. When his new contract was sent to him, he was given five days to have it notarized and signed by his ex-wife. Mainly, giving him no time to review it with a lawyer. I understand that the bank has the right to demand their money; however, it doesn’t seem like they were the least empathetic in understanding about his disability. He also doesn't have any control over his wife’s actions or behavior. What is a person to do if his only source of help comes from someone who quits helping him. Since I live in a different city, it was difficult for me to help all the time. I may be wrong about this area of the law but it seems as though the bank should have had some fiduciary duty to be fair to him when he was complying with all of their demands. The bank seemed to have behaved discriminatory against my brother by not continually giving continuity of service across operators. They continually delayed, stonewalled, and, in essence, lied continually over the last 11 months. One operator would say one thing that would lesson my brother’s stress while another would reverse the decision and send him into literal panic attacks. All the while, his ex-wife is being completely uncooperative, and the bank was holding my brother responsible for his ex-wife's procrastination and passive-aggressiveness. My brother is responsible and did all he could given his disability. Every chance I get, I will tell people that US Bank is the most unethical, immoral, uncaring, and least empathetic bank I know. Your contract with people is your only concern, not the people behind the piece of paper!! It is repulsive to see what you have put my brother through. You are all horrible people!!!!
