I would highly recommend New Penn Financial to my friends and family. They answered all my questions other mortgage companies could not and helped me in every step of the process. They offered low rates and even better service. Thanks New Penn!

My neighbor recommended Brian at New Penn Financial for refinancing our current mortgage. Before calling Brian at New Penn, I contacted no less than 4 banks inquiring about a refi. and every call was riddled with misinformation and hassles. New Penn was so different from the other companies and made the entire process very easy, right down to the agent who came to our house for closing, at our convenience. They also handled the entire subordination process with our current mortgage holder which was a huge time-saver. We got a fantastic rate, better than the other banks we contacted. Brian was very informative and accessible from the start of our process and always returned my calls and emails quickly. He explained everything in easy terms, was very patient, professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend New Penn Financial to anyone looking to refinance.

Don't look at their good rating. They wrote those reviews themselves. I did fall for it. Those people are just the worst nightmare you can experience during closing. Today was a 3rd time they postponed my settlement because they were not ready. Their processor Sheria Newkirk called me 5 hours before scheduled closing to tell me that they were missing one document. I've been waiting for a house for 5 months (new construction). They had all this time to get ready for settlement. First it was supposed to be Oct15. They called me day before and told me that they weren't ready. Maybe in 3-4 day they said because they needed to do appraisal. Appraisal took them over a week. Next date was Oct 25th, they were sure they would be ready. 5 hours before settlement they called me blaming title company and at the same time requesting some extra document for underwriter (that asking for extra things for underwriter happens on regular basis). It's been already 2 times me and my wife took a day off for closing and wasted it. Currently they are unable to even tell me when they are going to be ready. Everytime they need to extend your mortgage lock because of a delay they try to charge you for it. Michael McClernon who was my guy, is just a notorious liar. He doesn't return phone calls, and always try to blame others for his incompetence. Also I forgot to mention that originally they approved me for a loan with 5% down, but right before settlement they requested 12% down (only about $15k more). Stay away from them and don't believe reviews. Update: They made a mistake at a closing and we paid a little over a $1000 more than we should. They charged us homeowners insurance premium at closing, but we purchased policy ahead of closing and paid for it ourselves. They knew about it, because they were in touch with our insurance agent. It's been almost 2 months since closing and we still can't get our refund. They lost the check that was returned by insurance company. Just a continuation of a "great service" by New Penn Financial or Rate 30 Mortgage, because they use both names.

I knew I wanted to refinance to get a lower mortgage rate but I wasn't ready to do all of the necessary paperwork. Beyond that, I wanted to shop around to make sure I was going with a good company and getting a great deal. I was leary of dealing with someone from a different state but Mike from New Penn Financial was much more patient than the other lenders & he wasn't pushy/didn't try to fast talk me into anything. He patiently worked with me over several months while I took my sweet time making a decision and waited for the rates to go down. He was always professional & courteous, tirelessly explaining the options as I questioned alternate scenarios. He even called me one morning to let me know the rates had plummeted & ask if I wanted him to lock the rate in case it went back up. New Penn was wonderful to work with making a typically stressful process seem easy. Even through closing where the agent came to my house on a day's notice. The rate ended up being lower than the other lenders could provide too! I would definitely recommend them!
