Excellent service...very friendly

the worst service ever received for over 3 times in a row.

I had an appointment to meet with their mortgage agent and Im on my way over when they call me and tell me they need to reschedule. I waited a week for this appointment and they call me five minutes before the scheduled appointment and cancle. Extremely unprofessional I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

I absolutely love AFCU! A couple years ago, I began searching for a bank that offered a truly free checking account. I looked everywhere but couldn't find a "no strings attached" checking account. So, I happened into AFCU near the Galleria mall one day and expected to hear the usual pitch, . . . "Why, of course, we offer free checking. Let's set up a direct deposit for you now, OR as a reminder you need to keep a minimum of $1,000.00 in the account, OR let's open a line of credit today for you so your portfolio is big enough, OR OTHER SUCH NONSENSE all so the monthly maintenance fees would be waived." I approached the teller closest to the door so I could make a quick escape. Michelle, the teller, responded so confidently and politely that I stopped mid-turn toward the door to ask if "free" actually meant free. Sensing my imminent departure, she wasted no time in explaining that there weren't any maintenance fees on the basic checking account. Wow, finally a bank that doesn't believe in gimmicks and understands the meaning of "free". So, it's been over a year since I opened my AFCU checking account, and I'm still impressed with AFCU. I haven't had any problems ... absolutely none! (that's a lot of transactions error-free since I do the online thing, make regular deposits and withdrawals, use both debit and credit cards, etc.). I can pull money out of any credit union ATM for free (inside Costco, at 7-11's, at another credit union, etc.) AFCU even offers free cashier's checks, and the best part is that I don't have to go into the branch to get a cashier's check. The drive-thru tellers handle everything. Speaking of the drive-thru tellers, they are total SUPERSTARS!! Keep up the great customer service! Marsha and Shannon know their job and go above and beyond for customers. Marsha undertook an unusual request for me without hesitation, completed the time-consuming project in record time by working on my request between other customers' transactions, and even called me when everything was ready for pickup. Shannon is blazing fast, quirky, and doesn't shy away from learning something new, which is really rare for someone so young --Yep, I asked her a question that she couldn't answer, and she took off to ask a co-worker before I could blink. Cesar is a total sweetheart and even greets me by name. Peggy is amazingly efficient and so professional. Steph is the new face in the drive-thru, and she doesn't disappoint either ... she's so quick!! So, if you are looking for a bank in Henderson that offers a truly free "no strings attached" checking account, look no further than AFCU near the Galleria mall.

Love the tellers Michelle and Peggy, I won't go unless one of them is helping me, but as a company there are aspects of itself that makes me give it only 3 stars......for example, how the account won't always process transactions in purchase order so you can end up with more overdraft fees than you should, but other than that they are great and customer service has worked those glitches out on my account, it is just frustrating having to take the time to work it out. My husband and I are in a tough spot financially and they have never been rude about our account not always being in the positive and have always offered ways to help us financially. It puts my mind at ease knowing they care about the person behind the account and they care about helping them, not just the balance the account holds:)
