Staff sold me on a business account which enabled me to deposit coins. Unfortunately, after my first deposit, I was told, "You can't do that". In my opinion, this was a breach of contract. I had upheld my part by counting and rolling the coins per the contract. I had done business with this bank for roughly 8 years. I closed five accounts as a result of what happened. I strongly urge current and prospective customers of this bank to explore other banks - starting with First Citizens right down the road. It was a great experience to sit down with a banker, discuss my options, and actually have the tellers follow through with what the bank promised. This did not happen at BB&T and I probably should have filed a complaint with the OCC (or whoever regulates them) over the breach of contract. But really, what's the point. Let me reiterate how I perceived my experience - A teller at the Louisburg branch went out of her way to call the regional office to complain about having to do what was in the business checking account contract and the regional office backed her up. That's right, in my opinion, BB&T went out of their way to actively work against the interests of one of their business clients. If that doesn't speak volumes about what these people are all about, I don't know what does. Seriously, find a different bank.
