Cash America Pawn in Gastonia, NC

The first visit was a really good experience. I walked in today have been standing at the counter for 7 mins and nobody has said anything to me at all, there are only 3 customers here and 4 employees. Sonia and Beth were to busy having a personal conversation. I guess some people don't understand without your customers you don't have a job!!

I started going to cash American pawn last year, when I need a Xbox one. A girl Megan helped me. She was so nice and inviting by making me feel so welcomed. She gave me all the information I needed to know. I had no clue about gaming. So when I needed another Xbox one a few months later for my other sons birthday I thought of her. So I went back and she help me again. I think she is the best retail person I've ever dealt with. She's always smiling and seems to love her job. Just went today to put a few things on lay away and she once again helped me again. Thanks Megan your smile and helpfulness helped me once again.

Great store. Very busy, but employees do what they can to accommodate rude customers. Megan and Sonia always helpful and knowledgeable. Best pawn shop in Gastonia!

Slow customer service...stand in line to buy something for 15 minutes and totally get ignored while another person walks in and someone helps them instantly!! They will answer a phone call before helping a live customer!!

My husband and I have been customers of Cash America for years. Only in the last year have we started going to this one in Gastonia, usually we go to other ones around Charlotte. Our last three transactions with Cash America Pawn have been nothing but a hassle. We won't do business with them again and I want to warn others about our experiences. ALWAYS double check by asking numerous employees. The employees once said that I didn't make a payment, even though I had the receipt in my hand, and had already put my item in the box to ship off to their head quarters. Big pain in the butt that I finally got taken care of. Next, I was making a payment and trying to get my item out of the shop. The employee told me one thing, but when I went to get my item out, the price had mysteriously gone up. I was very upset and the issue was never resolved and the manager was a complete b**** about it. Next, I bought a faulty laptop just yesterday and there is supposed to be a 3 day exchange policy to get your money back. I was told to bring it back by Wednesday if I needed to. Well I have been trying to see if I could correct the issue on the laptop and I am unable to. I don't have time to take it back today and tomorrow (Tuesday) my daughter is having eye surgery. So I called them to let them know I was going to be bringing it back since I am unable to fix the computer and was told it had to be returned tomorrow for a full return even though I was originally told Wednesday. I told the lady my daughter was having surgery tomorrow and she said that if I wanted my full refund it had to be turned in tomorrow. These people have no compassion and are completely incompetent and unprofessional. I advise everyone to go to another Cash America and stay away from here!
