I made a recent visit on 5/2/16 to make an in-person cash advance and deposit into my checking account as I'd done plenty of times before. I presented the teller with a visa debit card and my current driver's license. She noticed that my maiden name appeared on my debit card (child support payment card) and my married name appeared on my DL. She immediately went to seek approval from the head teller Jen B. who gave me the hardest time ever! The head teller rejected my cash advance request. I requested to speak with Jen B, who came out and continued to give me a hard time at the teller booth. After she wouldn't bend, I demanded to speak with the branch manager Lizbeth A. After waiting several minutes, I was directed into the branch manager's office. The branch manager had also rejected my cash advance/deposit and refused to perform the transaction. An argument took place as she continued to try to justify their refusal. I reiterated again that I've made countless cash advances into my checking account at this location and other locations using the same debit card and DL without ANY issues. All of this could have been avoided had they simply read over the notes on my account that clearly states my name change. I felt extremely inconvenienced. I immediately contacted corporate office in Chesterfield in hopes they would intervene and resolve the issue. On the phone with corporate, while in my car still at the location on Hwy K, out walks the branch manager apologizing. She reversed her refusal. After so much unnecessary trouble, I was able to complete the transaction. They should find a better way to treat their members! I plan on taking my business to a better credit union with better treatment and services. This one location spoiled business for the entire company. Jen, Lizbeth and the first teller who's name I didn't get, pat yourselves on the back for this one! Thank you Patti, at the corporate office for acknowledging this should've never took place and for reassuring this matter will be addressed.
