Ideal Credit Union in Woodbury, MN

I became a member at my sons' urgings, more than 2 decades ago when it was Postal Credit Union. I quickly experienced the improvements over TCF and other traditional banks. Their interest rates on both sides of transactions are better, and their services are equal to any bank. I even used one of their affiliated realtors (who believe it or not took me directly to the property I wound up buying, he had listened that well! Sure wish I could remember his name.) and have my mortgage through PCU (now Ideal), a mortgage that has never been sold or transferred in over 15 years, unheard of these days! All at better rates than any bank or real estate firm. Of course there are fewer locations, my biggest cause for resistance I truly haven't missed that one convenience that much, and with everything now possible electronically, including direct deposit and cash withdrawals through my debit card, any inconvenience has disappeared - and I now work in Chicago! When I do go in to my Woodbury branch, service is flawlessly efficient, helpful and friendly. Oh - and they very actively monitor my credit and debit cards! I get a call, very brief and seldom, if my purchases raise a red flag for being unusual. I was was especially grateful around last Christmas when I got a call asking if I'd made a certain purchase that day. I had not. From both sides we monitored my account, but all fraudulent charges were seamlessly denied or removed and my only inconveniences were getting a new card and spending time with their very friendly, helpful and competent guy who works on such things (again I can't remember his name, drat.) He even laughed at my lame jokes, that's right, I was relaxed and confident enough to crack jokes during the process! My only regret in writing this review is that I wish I could come up with some complaint to ground it, to make it sound for real. I can't, though. My experiences truly are that good. I recommend them without reservation.

Quick and flexible employees.

Its a great place, I have never had a problem or a issue directly with anyone on the support line but I wish they would have 24/7 support.
