I.C. System, Inc. in Saint Paul, MN

I had no idea I had an unpaid ($122) medical bill from 2 years ago until it took 100 points off my (previously stellar) credit rating. Now I'm trying to refinance my house and I need a letter stating that they will ask the credit agencies to remove it from my report so the refi can go through. I've called 5 times and they won't budge, they refuse to give me the letter I need. All their letters are form letters, they have no process to generate original letters. If they wanted their money so badly, why didn't they contact me? Because they'd rather cost me tens of thousands of dollars in mortgage interest fees? Rotten business practice and I'll be letting my doctors know how awful this company is. If the doctor had called me even once, I would have known and paid it immediately, as I do every other bill and always have.

I've paid 2 of my collections with this company. They were professional, understanding, and had no problem post dating an arrangement for me. I took care of my collections within a timely manner and this company has stayed off of my credit report. My advice to people...if you don't like getting calls from agencies....keep your bills paid. But regardless, I'm glad this company collected my accounts. I don't think any collection agency is a company people say good things about. And I really don't even slightly believe any of the crap people are claiming in these reviews. I've got my perspective from what I've experienced. I've given them personal bank info twice over the phone without hesitation. And they've respected me just fine. Just be an adult and pay your damn bills.

This company is a SCAM. They don't actually do any work after you pay them money to sign up for their collection services. I made the mistake of hiring IC System for my business to collect a debt. This company is PAINFUL to work with. I signed the agreement, and there was zero customer service from that point forward. For a company that exists solely to collect debts, it took a dozen people over there to figure out how to get money from me. They couldn't run my credit cards, they couldn't figure out to withdraw money from my bank account, it was ludicrous. The WORST part was, I've spent the last year waiting for some results. They don't actually seem to be doing anything to pursue the debts I've given them. If you complain and ask what the status is, they send you an anonymous letter in the mail saying, "We've canceled your account per your request". I NEVER canceled my account. They took my money and ran. This outfit is a scam, find a reputable collection agency to work with.

IC Systems can not keep track of their own book keeping. I don't know how they can track your clients debt. Four YEARS after they last collected on a client of mine they called me and asked if my client still owed me money. I said no, so they decided I owed them a balance for their service (I had already paid this at the time of service). I never received an invoice. Apparently they don't invoice. Not even email. As a client you're supposed to randomly log in to their portal and see if you owe them money. Almost four years later they sent me through their collections process. That is the first I hear of my balance. It's been nearly 8 years since they interacted with my client. WTF. Don't bother with this company.

So, don't know who, but somebody has a $300 medical bill from 2013, and I.C. Systems just planted it on my credit report this year. Maybe late last year. Did a check last spring and I was clean on my credit. I know I don't have any outstanding debts. Hell, I don't even go to the doctor. Seems to be either fraud or careless screwing of my name. Thanks I.C. Systems!
