TCF Bank in Chelsea, MI

This Bank is filled with horribly rude, pretentious, and angry, women that treat customers who have been banking with them for years like trash. My mother recently closed a savings account her she had had for many years so that she could pay a tax bill. The tender was extremely rude, basically threw the unorganized money at her, and proceeded to grill her about why she was closing the account. In a very similar experience my now wife was charged an overdraft fee at this Bank while using her debit card that had overdraft protection, which should have prevented her from being able to use the card. When she went to this Bank she was told it was her fault for being financially irresponsible, even though what was done is not legal they refused to waive the fees. When she went to close the account, because of this incident, and received very similar treatment. When she attempted to get her money she was told that they had to issue a check instead of giving her cash because they didn't have the cash on hand to cover it. It was less than $1,000. The check then took 4 days to clear. So we moved banks across the street to Lake Trust and haven't been happier. Seriously, these people don't care about customers who have banked here for 10+ years.
