Money One Federal Credit Union in Upper Marlboro, MD

I opened an account with Money One FCU and from the beginning had a frustrating experience. I opened my account online and it took the credit union almost a week for it to get processed and that was because I called them to check on the status. If I hadn't called it would have probably taken longer. Every time I called with a question I would be on hold for at least 10 minutes. The biggest reason why I decided to close my accounts was because since my account was new I couldn't make any deposits at ATMs - they have a 90 day wait to be able to access the ATMs for deposits. They also don't have a mobile app to make deposits. When I called the credit union the only option they gave me was to come in to the branch or mail in a deposit. Coming into the branch is difficult for me because of their hours and distance and I didn't really want to mail in a deposit- its 2015. The interest rate is better than other banks, but it's not worth all the hassle and headache. They're really inconvenient

I have called multiple times to get an auto loan payoff after an hour i finally reach someone by just pressing random buttons and she put me back into auto service which after keeping you on hold for 2 minutes kicks you out and makes you enter in your reason for calling again

Here for a refinancing loan and im waiting to speak to a rep. I've been sitting here for about and hour and my name is the only name on the list. The rep i came to see just walkes right past me. Several times not checking to see whos next in line or if someone is specifically here to see just her. Im sitting here just thanking god i dont bank with this bank!, so im was finally seen by the rep. Just to sign one paper that I've waited a hour for. She never asked me my name or to see any form of identification. I could have been anybody signing those papers. Very poor service. Thank you god i dont bank with money one federal credit union! I was doing a auto refinance and having my name dropped off. But you would still think that they would have ask for id to verify who u say u are.

I've been a member of this credit union for about 2 years. Their higher yield checking and savings accounts are what attracted me (KASASA). I'm now SERIOUS questioning why I chose to put my money in their trust. Customer support is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to reach (zero after hours HUMAN support and no telephone calls have been returned to me this week following their system upgrade which resulted in my LOOSING access to my account information). My recommendation... LOOK ELSEWHERE for financial services. I know that's what I'm now doing...
