BB&T in Silver Spring, MD

Tellers are not very helpful. Especially Julie Singh. I asked her to give me the branch manager's email address and refused by saying "I don't know it" instead of looking it up. Went one morning to conduct my business, and the teller did not have an answer for my question, instead of saying "Let me find out for you" (Customer Service rule #1. Don't know something? Find out through someone who does) I went to the branch manager, a very pleasant guy, and he resolved my issue right away. Would I come to this branch? Not if I can help it. BB&T customer service has gone down hill big time. I even called to report one branch (Wheaton on Blue Ridge Rd.) that did not open until 45 minutes after they were supposed to open, and they just didn't care about my issue. I am considering taking my business to a friendlier and caring bank.

Absolutely terrible for customer service.

banking fraud done at this bank, some one had my account info made a fake card and withdrew all the money in my account

I wrote a check off my well-funded checking account; they declined it as insufficient funds causing me embarrassment and fees. I went to the bank to find out what happened to the money in my account and was told my money was there but I hadn't written a check in 6 months so they refused the check. In my opinion they were rude, not very knowledgeable and didn't care about me as a client. I ended up closing all my accounts there.
