Valley Credit Services Inc in Hagerstown, MD

I am so frustrated with Valley Credit!! I paid my bill off in full, allowed 2 weeks ( they said 2 days ) for it to clear.. I tried to make a doctors appointment, only to find out Valley Credit STILL DID NOT NOTIFY THEM!!! 2 WEEKS!!! In my opinion Valley Credit is horrible! Much needed improvements here!!

I was taking a hit on my credit score since I filed bankruptcy. I understand the score reduction for the bankruptcy. What I dont understand is why two accounts would be showing on the collections side of my credit report. In essence I am being hit twice (score being reduced) for the same thing. My contention is unless the collection is active it should not be listed on the credit report as a derogatory remark. There is no more collection. Valley can not collect on this, its chapter 7. So there is no reason why Valley should not ask that it be removed from the major credit reporting agencies. By law Valley has to inform the credit agencies that it was in bankruptcy but it will still show as an open account in bankruptcy. The request should be to the major agencies "please remove this from collection" kind of like a vacate and withdrawal of a tax lien. By doing this you are helping a family out by helping me get my score higher so I pay less interest. I spoke to a very astute supervisor with Valley Credit and he agreed to send out a second request to remove (vacate) the collection Thanks!

They refuse to accept cancelled checks as proof of payment and resubmit old bills as new bills to credit agency. Totally illegal. I get their claims dropped every year but I should not have to go through the repeated hassle!

Typical credit collection story. Got hooked with an old gym membership I wasn't aware of and sent me to collection. Paid in full to have it removed from my credit reports. Guess what? Only 2/3 credit agencies have it removed. The third states they weren' t notified to remove it. I call Valley Credit and they state they notify all three agencies at the same time and its not their issue. Looks like I'm stuck with this on my credit until it drops off due to statute (7 years.) Always good to take care of things right away and still get screwed over.
