Taunton Federal Credit Union in Taunton, MA

My experience here started great. I was able to get a car loan through Taunton Federal Credit Union hassle free. I worked with a wonderful woman named Cynthia. The process of applying and receiving and opening an account there was quick and easy. Thanks Cynthia! For the past two years, I have been paying off my loan. Now, the time has come where I want to sell my old car and get a new one. The loan had very little to pay back. I called to see if I could pay the remainder with a cash advance on my credit card. The woman on the phone said that wouldn't be a problem. I drove the 25 minutes from my home to Taunton Federal Credit Union to go and do so. The young lady that helped me and again an effortless process. Once all was completed, I asked for the title of my car. She explained that the title would get mailed to me from the RMV. They only have electronic copies. I was upset because I had found someone ready to purchase my car and a little confused I never had heard of such a thing... and electronic copy? Every credit union I know of keeps all hard copies of titles, deeds, etc. Regardless, I asked how long would it take to receive the young lady didn't have a clue. She asked two young men, also at the front counter, they said about a week they assumed, but to know for sure ask her other coworker she knows better. This other young lady said "about 8 days but I have seen it take up to 10" and verified with young lady I originally began working my exact payment method, a cash advance. I called exactly a week later to find out the status of my car title, the woman on the phone couldn't help me. She then transferred me over to the woman in charge of the that department. The woman explained that I would have to wait at least 2 weeks for my cash advance to clear and then an additional 8-10 days for mailing. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Furiously I asked why I was never made aware. I could have paid differently! I am trying to sell my car! She was not understanding and couldn't help me unless I knew the names of the people I spoke with. THAT DOESNT MATTER! I wanted someone to rectify the situation. She was rude, not at all helpful, and treated me like a child over the phone. She also threatened to hang up the phone!!! The only helpful thing she did was instead of mailing it, once all was clear, she would hold it at the location but I need to drive all the way up there to get it. Really not a help at all. I have my own unsatisfied customer and a headache from Taunton Federal Credit Union.

Drive thru service is excellent once you make it to the window if there's a line. But also all the workers in the credit union do try to go above & beyond to help you as personally as possible. But they can get busy so scheduling an appt would be best if you have allot of questions! But it's always nice to see their smiling faces & even a treat for my dog when I go through the drive thru! That's a bonus! :-) but their other companies should be reviewed separately most definitely!!

Love this bank! The tellers are so friendly and kind. I have not meet a rude one yet.
