Leominster Credit Union in Leominster, MA

I switched my kids' accounts and my mad money account to LCU because it didn't have the fees that Citizens' Bank was charging us. My initial experience was pretty good, but I quickly realized that LCU didn't have the customer support that one would expect from a bank or lending institution. I've only kept my family's accounts there because they are small and it's going to take time to withdraw funds and set up new accounts.

Never open not helpful

I like the bank.... I hate the online banking, I like the one they had over the weekend.... Not user friendly, hate it...

Awful institution. When we open a checking accout, we were told checks maybe held for 2 days. Well there are exceptions that were not explained. Instead of 2 days, a payroll check is being held for 7 business days. The bank teller said a 2 day held, one call center agent said 9 days, another said 7. I asked where in all the pamphlets i was giving could I find this. Agent say page 13, no nothing, page 14, nothing. I finally found it buried on page 17. I'm finding it hard to believe in 2017 this institution is using a policy for 1987. This account will be closed and never again with LCU. I wish there was a way to rate lower.

Have had no problems. Not sure what all the complaints are about. There are plenty of credit unions in the area to choose from, go. I have an auto loan, credit card, and savings acct. with LCU and so far after almost 3 years still going strong, looking good. I'm always keeping my eye out for the best rate all over New England, but I see no reason to change. there are a half dozen well advertised CU's in western Mass. LCU pretty much beats them all.
