Wells Fargo Bank in Leawood, KS

Wells Fargo at 103rd Street seems to be an entry point for immigrants from Africa. I don't know why, but most people working there seem to be immigrants. I don't mind being a legal immigrant from Germany myself, but the employees have trouble spelling English correctly, not the standard a world class bank should have. I am not impressed.

I'm in line, the lady, Asian, calls out to me and says "yes sir, can I help you"? Obviously am a woman, I get to the counter, she realizes her mistake, but instead of apologizing or just moving on, she starts to giggle like she's a child or something. I got her the next time I went, and I had to repeat things over and over, and again with the giggling.... seriously? The people that helped with other banking were helpful and even sent follow up emails...

PULL YOUR MONEY OUT NOW THEY DONT EVEN KNOW THEIR OWN BANKING POLICIES. WE HAVE A ACCOUNT AND WE DEFINETLY ARE MOVING OUR MONEY AS OF TODAY

Once again, the service here was less then adequate, and certainly not up to Wells Fargo standard. In the past this branch ran me around on a business account and couldnt' seem to get it opened. I called my home branch in Minnesota, and they opened the account over the phone. Today I called and finally got through to someone. I told him that I had a $669 payment showing from my account and I did not authorize it. The guy told me it is probably pending and I could try back because there is nothing he could do. I know he didn't even look up the account because he never asked for my name, account number, or anything else identifying. Since this branch typically has service problems I called the branch on Shawnee. The girl there pulled up the account, filed a claim, and put a stop payment on for any future withdrawls made by whomever this was that tried to take the money out of my account. Seems odd that without even looking at the account the guy at the 103rd and state line branch blew me off, and someone at another branch was able to help me right away. This has been the situation for a long time, and I have always avoided the 103rd and state line branch because in over 24 years with Wells Fargo they are the only bad apple I have run into. I only tried them this time because I knew Michael there had transferred from another branch and he is helpful. I wish he had been working today... In short, I have loved Wells Fargo, but avoid the 103rd and State Line Branch if at all possible.

If I could leave 0 stars I would... I had a checking account here for about two weeks... I made a small $60 deposit (face to face) in the branch. I waited a week and the deposit never showed up. Turns out it was lost and was basically took an act of God to 1. Get someone to answer the freaking phone... 2. Get my $60 back... I have tried calling for other things recently and the phone issue is still not resolved. If you want to reach someone over the phone in this branch you have to call the Wells Fargo Bank customer service 800# and ask to be transferred. Make sure they know to get a live person on the phone before they transfer you. Good luck.
