Beware of Baxter and most all credit unions for that matter. The lure of course is slightly lower interest rate however the negatives far outweigh the benefits. Be aware that if you were having a hard time such as a job loss and you cannot pay your credit cards, that they can actually repossess your car even if you are current or fully paid off on your car. It is a sneaky little clause in the loan agreement called cross collateralization. They are like vultures waiting to get you when you are down, littering you with slightly lower interest rates but if you have any type of problems they will go after you like a vulture and devour you. By the way make sure that you force them to show you a sign documents that you agreed to this cross collateralization because if you didn't sign or initial it it doesn't hold up in court.

Like others have said, they take ZERO responsibility for their mistakes! (And they make them constantly!! ) No way to reach anyone at a specific branch, loan officers don't know how to research rates and they pull hard inquiries without approval. Phone reps contradict each other and once the truth is found they act as if misinforming you is standard, even if it involves THOUSANDS of dollars. So happy to sell our house to get away from their incompetence!!

It used to be a good credit union but it has gone downhill in the past few years. Its been over 4 months and they still have not corrected extra money paid into my mortgage even after numerious numerious calls to them to let them know of their descrepency. Their customer service is horrible these days. I have already moved everything but my mortgage to another credit union.
