Review Rozlin Financial Group, Inc. - RFGI

I made stupid decisions when I was younger that led to bad debt. Starting out in the negative, didn't put me in a good position to repay the thousands immediately as each collector that bought the contract demanded, and I continually ignored the attempts. You cannot squeeze blood from a stone. RFGI was the only collection company to treat me like a human being. Their introductory letter wasn't just a "We own your debt now. Pay it or else!" It was an offer to work away at the debt and pay it at a reasonable pace. I called them immediately and set up a plan just for that reason. They never deviated, charged me fees, or harrassed me. In fact, when I replaced my debit card and forgot to tell them, I called RFGI a few weeks later, before they contacted me, and the woman who answered the phone not only didn't threaten me or charge me extra, but she offered to take off half of a payment if I switched to my bank account for the next month. That debt is now cleared with no issues from RFGI. I hope to never have to do business with them again, but I appreciate what they do.

My RFGI rep Manny went above and beyond his job to help resolve my collection, he was the first to actually treat my debt and I as a person and not a number, I am extremely pleased by their work since they took my case on. The company issueing the collection and the agency before RFGI made it about the money and not what actually happened, they were rude and harassing but I felt the exact opposite with RFGI and Manny. I can not thank him enough for the work he has done and assisting he provided. Overall a awesome running business and if they ever contact you, don't jump to conclusions because they aren't out to collect the money as much as being fair and settling the situation as fair as possible. Id give them 6 stars out of 5 but that isn't allowed but thank you who all were involved, you don't know how much u helped and I thank you again.

Coming from experience, it is never fun paying off a collection debt -especially if and when the circumstances of how it ended up there are complicated. At the end of the day it's the best thing to do if you want to improve your credit and move on. Showing that a debt is paid (even as a closed collections account) is always better than my report showing that it is delinquent and outstanding. This is why, when given the opportunity, I paid what I could when I could and felt good about it. As other reviewers have commented, the staff is very friendly and helpful- and I think that goes to show that they generally enjoy working with you and are treated well by their management. I have had debt collectors call and be downright rude and threatening. It feels good doing business with a company who treats you with respect.

If you have a debt with this company, you should really check if it is past the statute, as they seem to have a large tendency towards collecting on debts that are past the statute of limitations. If you don't pay it, there's nothing they can legally do. And after 7 years, they are also not supposed to report it to any credit bureaus. They tried to tell me they can still come after me for debt that is already past the statute. I also told them that the debt (a medical bill) was supposed to have been paid by insurance, and basically they told me I had to prove it, or too bad, they would keep trying to collect. It's really shady that they don't tell you if the debt is past the statute. DEFINITELY CHECK FIRST.

Thank you Scarlet! Tell your boss you make a terrible industry pleasant. Kudos to you. For the rest of you googling this company, please read my review. Apparently the review from "Tee L" didn't get the memo! When you review a company, you need to review them based on their professionalism and service. Just because they collect out of statue debt doesn't make them a bad company. Your ignorance of the industry shows. They are a debt collection business. IE: collecting debts in and out of "SOL". So, if you choose to pay the out of statue debt, that is your deal. You may have other reasons. How many people would you loan money if you knew they would just default (not pay) just to tell you 7 years later it’s their legal right not to pay! So, for the rest of you, pay it or don't. Don't hate on a company that is in this business unless they are breaking the law. (Which as far as i can tell they abide by the fair credit laws) Rozlin provided me with a letter stating the debt would be paid in full, though the debt was not the amount the original creditor wanted. Did I make a few mistakes years ago? Yes. Do I want to pay for things I bought years ago? Hmm maybe. At the end of the day, it’s your call to pay or not pay. Just as it is your “legal right” to review a business. (As long as it is opinion or actual true facts!) Just be careful what you say, it could make you look uneducated.
