Consumers gives me much better better rates and fewer fees than any bank (especially Chase). The managers are very friendly and very helpful. Normally the line for tellers moves fast. Also nice to know that my money is with an organization that doesn't give out 8~9 figure bonuses.

Horrible customer service, no communication between the tellers, the manager who isn't professional enough to introduce herself has a horrible way of talking to the customer. My bf banks here and we will be cancelling the account. This is not the type of service you should receive from your bank.

I took a 12k car loan out from this bank over 2 years ago. I was required to open a savings account along with the loan and placed a little over 250 dollars in it. A week ago I was contacted by my old land lord with over 11 letters from Consumer Credit Union taking a 20 dollar fee because my account was not at 500 dollars. I was left with 9 dollars.. I called the bank and they told me that there was no min to keep the account open but there was a fee if there wasn't at least 500 dollars in it. This was never vocalized to me when I signed for the account. I was told that "there was no number on file" to be contacted to let me know that they were skimming my money. Yet, I had a 12k dollar loan with my mother as a co-signer... I highly doubt they would give me that money without a contact number. Pure BS. If I would have missed even one day of my car payment, you can be assured the bank would have been on my back calling... After talking with the manager she said she would only credit me 3 months of the 11.. It is complete nonsense and just shows you that no matter their angel of "we are here for the people" they are just as shady as any other bank out there. They are in it for themselves and for the money. I can make you one promise, I will not stop until I get my full money back. Social media is a great tool to warn people of the scam this place really is.

Huge security threat, someone in France got a hold of my debit card info and slowly took funds from me. I caught it(consumers should have) and when I brought it to there attention I had to fill out an 8 page packet only to be told they wouldn't cover any of it. Terrible credit union, I pulled all funds immediately and would not recommend anyone else to put themselves at risk

I have had a great experience once again with Consumers. I have had my accounts here since I was a child. Glad to know they are friendly and always a happy to help me.
