My experience with Eric Schroeder and his staff has been a refreshing time of working with true professionals who put the time and effort into making sure that they do the right thing for you. Eric was able to get a great rate for me and made the whole process go so smoothly...didn't hurt a bit!! I will be telling all my friends & relatives to go to Mortgage Capital

Worked with them on a refinance process in 2012 and I was happy with the service. I came back for information on a new mortgage and had several questions on different types of loans (conventional, FHA, VA) and requested detailed breakout on these. Eric was able to provide detailed information and informed us that we were pre-approved up to a certain amount. I had also inquired for a copy of the pre-approval letter and he stated that the realtor could ask him for one. I recently set up times to view homes and the realtor asked me for a copy of the letter so I went back to Eric for the pre-approval letter. Eric then requested additional financial paperwork (W-2, bank statements, pay stubs) and when I explained that he had already told me we were pre-approved he denied having said that to me and wouldn't provide the letter until I provided additional information. I can see on our credit reports that he's already pulled copies of or credit to verify incomes (which we never authorized) however he never informed us of the additional steps that would be needed to get the pre-approval letter. I explained I didn't want to move forward with a loan application as we were just looking at homes and he said it would still be needed for a pre-approval. He then told me I could work with a different lender and hung up on me. So now I am back to square one. Not sure if he considered us too difficult to work with because we were trying to understand the best mortgage for our needs in the beginning or what but I am very disappointed with them. I will not be recommending them. I do not believe he wanted to deal with our desire to explore all our options and put the work into it, rather he just wanted to be done with us.
