University of Iowa Community Credit Union (UICCU) in West Des Moines, IA

I had a great experience with UICCU in West Des Moines. Laura Meeker was very friendly and I was able to open a new account with ease. I will highly recommend this bank to everyone I know.

I went to UICCU in WDM this morning to make a deposit at 9AM, only to find out they don't open until 10AM...how inconvenient!!! So, I go through the drive to do a night deposit, and there are no envelopes!!! I need to make cash deposits, and the ATM also does not take deposits, so I go back once they open. I am making deposits to my dad and my husbands accounts, neither of which I am on...I get receipts for them, and the teller gives me all their info!!! Balances, names, last four of account numbers!!!

Superior service and the best rates in Des Moines area. Caitlyn at the front counter and Lesley my loan person were extremely friendly and professional. I will be using them for all my banking and sending my friends there too.

Very friendly staff and great building. I just used UICCU for a mortgage and they have the most competitive rates and minimal closing costs. I use two of their other products. Will be a long time customer.

I've banked with UICCU for 5 years. They used to be great but within the last year their customer service has become HORRIBLE. Their staff is rude, they now charge you for EVERYTHING under the sun. Including a tax document they said they sent but didn't and were going to charge me for a copy. Ironic how I got every other tax document but this particular one... they changed how they accept mortgage payments as well. I've referred friends and they have had such awful experiences such as trying to sneak in unnecessary products/services in loans they did not ask for - which is ILLEGAL! I will no longer refer anyone to them. I will also mention that they have a great referral program; however, when you refer people and fill out the forms they NEVER give you the payout... I finally gave up trying to get it. False advertising on their part.
