Community Choice Credit Union in Des Moines, IA

One of the worst places to bank. They present this aura of community but there is nothing community about them. Like all other financial institutions they are out to fleece you. I applied for a mortgage two plus months ago. I was told they have a system error and they will get back to me. How long does it take for their system to get resolved, I,ve repeatedly called and left messages. If Im not approved just say so instead of making me wait for two months. I know i'm not rich but I have a consistent history with this bank for almost 11years, now that I want to apply for a mortgage they treat you like crap. Dont let the name fool you, nothing community about this. You might as well put you money in a wellsfargo or bigger bank. At least they dont pretend to be for the people.

I have been (UN)Banking here since 2012. Like most financial institutions there have been some things that I have not been happy with; however, over all I have been very satisfied with my experience. Everyone has always been kind to me in persona and over the phone.

Great place to have an account. They've been more than friendly when ever I come to any of their locations. I've been with CCCU for over 15 years; purchased my house through them, have had multiple small loans through them, my son now has had multiple loans through them, and he's only 27yo. Always friendly, and always willing to spend the time to talk to me. For those of you who are complaining because they didn't return your call, get off your sofa, and go into one of their many locations, and talk face-to-face with them. They are community, not telemarketers, means get off your duff and go talk to them.
