Trustco Bank in Venice, FL

I spent 3 hours applying for a home equity loan with Mark Cooper. I have a 785 beacon score and income of over 7000 dollars per month. My house was appraised at over 300,000 dollars and i owe only 139,00. After waiting 2 weeks for a answer I was still waiting for an answer on my loan. 5 days later after leaving several voice mails with no responses i Received a email telling me my loan was turned down. No explanation or phone call giving me a reason. I would definitely avoid this bank and look for different options.

Applied for a mortgage, got the mortgage, were told it would close in 30 days. 90 days later we closed and not because of us. Avoid this bank and yeah, Cooper does not return phone calls or emails.

Mark and David at the Venice Trustco were great. I had an issue with my mother's estate and they went above and beyond to help me. Even though I lived out of the area they treated me as if I was a long time customer. Settling an estate from across the state is very difficult. Mark and David at the Venice Trustco were the only easy stress free part of the process...Thanks!

I had a great experience working with Mark Cooper of Trustco Bank. He was very experience and worked hard to make sure all of the time constraints I was under were met. I'm a retired Judicial Judge and have work with many investment officers, bank managers, loan officers over the years and I have seen whats out there. Mr. Cooper is a good person and it would be well worth your time to visit him if you need any type of banking services.
