Meridee is extremely dishonest and a bully. Please, be very careful when dealing with her.

Meridee represented long-distance buyers purchasing our home recently, but we agreed to pay her commission believing she had our best interests in mind. Throughout the process, she misled us to the extent of repairs that would be requested, but we happily made all repairs asked as we took pride in our home. She requested to walk a renter through the home while we weren't there, and our handyman discovered damage afterwards -- more repairs we were forced to make last- minute. During the closing, she attempted to tack on a list of exemptions requiring another inspection post-close (not previously discussed), which we refused to sign. Thank goodness we didn't, because since closing Meridee has left us a voicemail, email and six text messages, even calling us "pretty shady," in an attempt to bully us into making additional repairs that were not part of our original contract. We've never experienced lack of professionalism and dishonesty like this in a real estate agent before.

They may have good reviews from their Rental Owners/Home Owners, but when it comes to rental tenants....we are nothing more then the little guy they can take advantage of. Don't expect to get your deposit back. They will immediately side with satisfying their clients by putting aside the need of their renters. It's a partnership people! I understand it's business. But I pay you money, and you offer me a place to live that is in good condition and fix problems appropriately. The cheapest labor possible will be hired for any problem you encounter, I guarantee it. Their definition of clean is far from accurate, hair, dust, smells, stains, crap left from previous tenants...you name it. Unless you're ready to ride their ass to get them to do it right the first time, and most likely it won't happen no matter what you do, good luck. And realistically be ready to spend money fixing up the place and adding basic needs. WILL BE STEERING CLEAR OF DESTINATION REAL ESTATE.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! If I could give this company ZERO stars, it would still be too much. They lack professionalism and as a previous reviewer stated, if anything needs fixing, they will hire the shittiest company available to do to job. We rented from this company for two years. The home constantly gave us problems. From the refrigerator going out every month that they failed to address properly, to the stove turning on without anyone touching it. When we first moved in, the air conditioner would go out every month, yet they would continue to hire people to "patch" it up. You'd think for the small fortune we rented it for every month that the company would get things fixed properly. Additionally, it was hell trying to reach anyone WHEN not IF things broke down. These crooks sent our deposit check to us and deducted unreasonable fees. PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY!

My family and I rented property through destination realty. My wife and I did a walk through of the home and we loved it. So we signed a year lease for $1600.00 a month on the condition that we would be long term tenants, and that was perfect for us because we have three young kids and thought it would be great to raise our children in this home for years to come and hoping maybe to purchase. The first week of moving in their were 'rocks'clogging all of the sinks in the home, I contacted Mrs. Merridee and the problem was fixed. Then next the electricity in the house was fading, half the house began to shut down. NO LIGHTS!! but that problem got fixed. Then the washer and dryer had to be fixed, then the a/c unit showed it's true colors when summer came around and it had to be repaired twice while my kids suffered in a home that reached a temp.of 101 degrees F. After all this in less than 8 months we still loved the home and wanted to keep the home. But on our tenth month we received a notice taped to the front door telling us that we had sixty days vacate the home after our lease was up. I was furious. I tried calling but all I got was voice mails. And finally I got a call from her and the only thing she wanted to talk about was having future clients do a walk through while my family and I were still living there. She had four different pretentual clients walk through our home, invading our privacy. And thirty days later Mrs. Merridee had the sheriff come to our home and escorted us off the property, and we still had forty days on our lease. Mrs merrier seems like a very nice young lady but she's a snake, a realestate bully, I strongly recommend not dealing with her company but if you do 'BEWARE' BECAUSE SHE CAN BE EXTREMELY SHADY WITH NO CLASS AT ALL. DO YOUR RESEARCH.
