VyStar Credit Union in Gainesville, FL

Ive been with this bank since they opened up! I love them!!

I love this bank. They are always respectful and do everything they can to help you in a timely manner. I recommend this bank to everyone I know. I drive a good 35-45 minutes to bank with them and I will continue to do so. :)

I LOVE this credit union! I've been with a few different banks and one other CU before, and by far and away VyStar is the best I've been with. I've been with them now since 2010, and will continue to bank with them. I don't understand any of the negative reviews here, other than they must have been related to rare, isolated incidents. I don't see how anyone who's ever banked anywhere else could possibly dislike VyStar. Their staff is friendly and helpful yet very professional, and one of the things I've always liked is how deposits and other transactions post IMMEDIATELY. That is a huge pet peeve for me. I hated a bank I used to bank with taking days to post or make available my income deposit, yet running transactions through all along. Here my direct deposit (from a large, reputable employer) comes in, is posted in seconds, and is available for immediate use. I also get it sooner than everyone else I work with! I've also heard many wonderful stories about loans and financing and other transactions, as well. When my father passed away, the staff were very kind (they remembered who I was AND who my father was) and offered personal condolences as well as being very helpful about the life insurance benefits I received. All around a great place to do business. My wife, myself, our daughter, and my late father all banked with them, and it has only been a wonderful experience.

I am actually very impressed with them this far, because they post my check to my account a day earlier than my actual pay day. The staff is very friendly in the one particular credit union in Gainesville, Florida. This is not my primary credit union because only a portion of my money is sent here, however so far so good. It would be a lot better if they stayed open to at least 7PM because they close at 5 and the majority of people get off at that time. Other than that I am having a great experience. The mobile app is good and easy to use.

I only gave one star because it's required. I have had nothing but issues with them since I became a member. I've had fraudulent charges to cards, had to have my card replaced 4 times because it wouldn't work with my pin number and can't even get accepted for a $4,000 loan with a thousand down for a car. This is ridiculous. Me and my boyfriend are switching credit unions immediately!!
