A Yankee Peddler & Loan in Norwalk, CT

The yankee peddler in Norwalk is the greatest. The owner was very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised forbmy fist experience in a pawn shop.

I really like this place. They have a huge selection of merchandise at reasonable prices. I go in once a week to check at the new stuff out out for sale.

I want to thank Matt one of the owners. I got a loan from him and I totally forgot about it. I was 6 weeks past my due date and he gave me a courtesy call and reminded me about it. I didn't have the money to pick it up at that time and we worked out a time frame to get it back. It's now two weeks later and I got my bracelet back, and he even gave me a break on the price. Thank you so much.

I wouldn't call myself a typical pawn shop customer. In the beginning of the week the transmission went on my car and I was short on money because I was waiting on a commission check. A friend of mine told me about the Yankee Peddler, so I decided to give them a visit and look into getting a loan on my engagement ring. When I walked into the store I got the vibe that it was more of an antique shop and not a pawn shop. I worked with the younger owner and he was very polite and nice. He explained the process to me and I felt comfortable leaving my diamond engagement ring with them. They gave me exactly what I needed to get my transmission fixed. He loaned me what I needed to get my car fixed and actually told me he would loan more on it than I actually borrowed. Hopefully I don't need to use a pawn shop again, but if I do I will go here.

Honest people at this shop. I've gotten loans from them and I buy a lot of tools from them. Always friendly and fair. If you need a loan ask for Matt if your looking fora good deal on a purchase talk to Josh.
