Wells Fargo Bank in East Hartford, CT

Courteous, fast,no long lines

Came in with a handful of checks because there is no Wells Fargo branch in Massachusetts. Most deposited fine (required ID on a deposit, which was weird to me), but a check from Canada they said would cost $75 to deposit, plus fees from the Canadian side. They expected a $400 check would have $100 of fees. I looked this up online, and they were completely wrong. It should only cost $1.50 and take 2-3 days to clear, but both the teller and the manager confirmed that it would have been a $75 charge from their end, and that it would take 4-6 weeks to clear. I don't think they know what they're doing in the least.

I'm not understanding why this branch is NOT opened on Saturdays! This bank is 5 min away from me but if I needed to go to on a Saturday, I would have to drive 25 minutes to the other branch! Very inconvenient for me and it makes no sense.

Tried to cash a check that was drawn off the bank. Wanted to charge me 7.50 because I didn't have an account. The teller was giving me a hard time because the check stated for deposit only. She had to speak with her teller supervisor for approval. They already get enough money from all these overdrafts from the big banking corporation yet they are greedy and want more. I'm all set. I will deposit my check and wait for it to clear next day. No thanks!
