Terrible experience. Bernie put on a good act up front but when things didn't go his way I felt that he became vindictive and petty. We were initially going to use him as a lender but after shopping around we found that he could not offer a competitive rate. A loan through him was going to cost us $4,000 more! Upon learning that we were considering another lender Bernie tried to scare us by saying that he didn't trust the other lender and saying our liability was a lot more than $4,000. He also informed me that we would need to pay him for the credit report he had done if we used the other lender. He had never once mentioned this fee before hand. The other lender was great and we didn't have a single problem. Bernie is now sending me spam email even though I never gave him permission to use my email address in that way.
