Review Blue Federal Credit Union

This FCU recently merged with Warren AFB FCU in Cheyenne Wyoming. They have continously messed up my account access, information, Internet control features. They even had an old address on file from 10 years ago. I'm done with them.

Recently, my credit union of 20 years was bought out by this place. I have had nothing but trouble since this "merger". For instance, I had a Cashier's check from the sale of a property, and they HELD it for three business days. That Cashier's check is like cash, and it was not legal for them to hold it. I talked the guy into releasing a small portion of it, so I could you know, live. And now, on the holiday weekend no less, my card has just stopped working. I have called the numbers on the website over FIVE TIMES, and when I get someone, they say I'm calling the wrong number. Then I get transferred to a line that never gets answered - THE THEFT AND FRAUD LINE. No one answers that line? Seriously? They had a very old address on file. I am very disappointed in the service I have received, if you could call it that. On Tuesday, I am going in to my local branch in Boulder and am pulling my substantial monetary portfolio out of that crap hole. Blue has lost a 20 year customer. Hello, Bank of America.

So I took a loan out with this company to help raise my credit. Easily could have just payed off the item but as a young person I needed to work on my credit a little. I just have none. No credit cards, no debt, nothing. And as I now know "no credit is worse then bad credit". Anyway for the first year almost everything went fine. I was double charged one month but after a few phone calls that was resolved. Today however I had to deal with Blue in the worst way. As a small buisness owner I understand that respect needs to come from both ends. My customers respect my time and pay me on time and I respect them by showing up on time, doing what I say, and providing them a level of service that creates trust. Blue on this occasion did everything but that. They decided that after sending 3 cards in the mail (to a address the first person I got on the phone didn't even have) to raise my rate by $200 because they thought I had no insurance on my vehicle. They did not call they did not send a email about it, they just did it. Even though they have sent me emails in the past and called when the double payment was made. This to me is the exact reason people fall further into debt. Greedy insurance companies making it harder for people to pay their bills. Sure there are people that are horrible with their finances I get that, but for people like me that have never ever had a ounce of debt in their life. I still don't have a credit card (i know its bumb, working on it). Come on guys, step up your game. There is no need for it, and that little bit of effort would go a long way. Instead of now having a client that will probably drag your name through the mud till the day I die you could of had a client that praised you and referred people to you regularly. I am 29, you don't think I have a lot of friends getting married right now that need new cars or houses??? I was even thinking of moving my entire buisness over to Blue-Federal from Wells Fargo (who have not been great but at least call when something looks weird) very happy I didn't. I will be looking into it but if anyone reads this and knows if there is a way to transfer your loan over to another company, PLEASE let me know. I would much appreciate it. Also want to apologize to Brian McAdams @ Blue. I will send you something personally but everyone else should see this to. "Very sorry for getting so frustrated with you over the phone. I know that you do not make the polices and you are just happened to get me on the other line today. You were very friendly and were very nice and profesional while I defiantly lost my cool. Thank you for going the extra mile and sending me a personal email and your direct phone number. Once again I apologize for being so frustrated at you, not your fault. Thank you again for helping me and I will send that information to you later tonight. Thanks again, Brian U."
