Review Premier Hyundai Tracy

Update on Keith Dailey problem from last month: Well I took the car to Modesto Hyundai, and sure enough after all our complaining about the noise coming from the engine, Modesto Hyundai says the problem is: THE CAM CHAIN TENSIONER. My current understanding is that it is Hyundai not the dealer the refuses to own-up to their warranty for this known issue. Pray for us we are in for some long litigation time ahead.

I normally never give negative comments about any place. But with this dealership, I have to. When I went in to the store, I had the best salesman. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. But the trouble started with his manager. He forcefully let us buy the extended warranty package with the car. I told him many times that I did not want it and he kept insisting that I have it. And the car that I wanted wasn't available so they said the next day they will give it to me. After a month I got the car, they sent me a letter saying they couldn't find anyone to finance. And when I went back to give the car, they still were looking for a bank. And said to come after a while. I did. Then when I said I will voluntarily give the car, they said that I HAVE to buy the car at that point or else I wouldn't get my down payment ($5000). Again after couple of weeks, they tell me to give the car back. I gave the car back on a weekend. They said to come back on a weekday and I couldn't. If I call, they keep going to voicemail and never call back either. Really try to avoid this dealership for sales. Try Dublin Hyundai. They're much more helpful as my brother already has a hyundai. Hope this helped others.

I loved my car buying experience and my salesperson Hazim was very patient and helpful. My husband checked out and test drove the car we ultimately purchased except for the radio since it's the last thing you think to check. We purchased the car as is no warranty. Once we left the lot my husband noticed all the buttons on the radio console did not work. I emailed Keith, Sales GM and he said to bring the car back when I had chance and he would take care of. Two months later I'm taking the car back and Hyundai is taking care of all the cost! So happy and I really did not expect that

Thought we had a great car buying experience, we were so wrong! We bought a car in September. We knew the car we wanted, went in, negotiated a good price, and went on with our lives. In December, there was a minor issue with a light not coming on in the cabin. We took the car to be serviced at a different dealership and were told that we were not the original owner of our “NEW” car and that we were not eligible for our full warranty. ALL of our paperwork states that the car is new. We’ve been to the dealership and spoken with Hyundai Corporate. Corporate contacted us again because they needed our sales documents. It sounds as if the dealership had made an agreement to sell the car, but the deal fell though. The car was never listed as sold with the DMV, but it was listed to another owner in the Hyundai database. After MANY emails and phone calls, we are now (as of January)listed as the original owner, but last we heard, the warranty date starts in May when the original sale fell through, rather than September when the car was purchased. We traded in a car at the same time. It appears that the transfer of ownership paperwork was not filled out properly. We’ve received multiple DMV notices and documents stating that there is no record of insurance on the car, and now today, (5 months later) we received a parking ticket for the car we traded in. The car has since sold to a new owner, and we got a ticket in the mail! Clearly this dealership is focused on sales and not properly filling out their paperwork. This has been such a headache; I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Having issues with both the trade in and new car is unacceptable.

My experience with Tracy Hyundai service dept. is and always has been top notch. Brian at the service desk is very thorough when it comes to customer service. I always understand exactly what is going to happen and how long it's going to take. I followed him over here from Antioch Hyundai. Hyundai 100,000 mile warranty is for real. My 2012 Hyundai Veloster has 87M miles on it and Hyundai is replacing the engine with a brand new one from the factory and rebuilding my transmission at the dealer. All under warranty. The next time I need a car, I'm looking to Hyundai first and that starts with Premier Hyundai of Tracy. They really understand the importance of making the customer feel welcome and comfortable. Don't change, Tim Garcia Discovery Bay
