Union Bank in Porterville, CA

The only bank that I bank with, since the 80's when it used to be Security Pacific!

This Union Bank branch was either never notified by their corporate office or for some other reason did not remove my phone number from their records. I had requested to have it removed as they told me old number was removed and new number added, but about a week later got letter saying the local branch could not reach me and listed my old number. After continually receiving calls from this branch and telling them corporate does not know why they are calling due to the removal of my number from their corporate records. Most if not all calls were 'follow-ups', which seems like a waste of time and money for the bank. For the customers like myself who get call over and over after notifying them, it is a frustration and waste of breath to even answer the phone when the bank calls, not to mention stress from thinking something bad happened to my account. I am rating this bank branch 3 stars, though I almost gave them 2 due to my frustrations. The 3 stars is for the professionalism of the employees and for the majority of the employees who will take time to chat with you. About half the rating was based on the app Union Bank has for any customer who can and wants to download to perform some basic banking tasks without having to go to an ATM or to the closest branch. Also, since 12/1/2016, when I first used my ATM card, anytime I have went to use one of their atms not at the bank they have been out of order and even tried using one at the branch that was out of order as well. About 75-90 percent of the time had to go to bank to use their branch atm as the ones the have set up around town continually go out of order.
