This company is a nightmare and are a textbook example of predatory lending practices. I understand that sometimes you don't have an option if you have poor credit - but I advise anyone considering a loan through them to be very wary. I'm paying twice what my beater is worth - and their customer service is atrocious. They lost my december payment and called me saying I never sent it when it was a check cut by my bank through automatic bill-pay. I called my bank to do a stop-payment and sent a second payment. I tried to call Gold Acceptance back on 5 different occasions and no one answered, during normal business hours. I left voicemails with no returned call. When I saw they hadn't cashed the second check I sent - I gave them a call and was bounced to 3 different people. I asked why they hadn't used my payment and they said because I had insufficient funds on the original and no longer could send checks. I explained that I put a stop payment because THEY claimed they never received my check - and they refused to work with me. They said I needed to use Moneygram because they no longer would accept my checks (even though I had attempted to communicate, sent multiple payments with sufficient funds to make the successful payment - and THEY dropped the ball.) I called my bank to confirm everything that I already knew to be true, and attempt a 3rd payment through automatic transfer - but my bank said that Gold Acceptance doesn't accept automatic transfers through my bank - so I have no other options. My bank then advised me to refinance through a servicer who would be easier to work with. I think they're right. All I have to say is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

They did give me a chance to get a car, that is the only reason they rate a star. Other than that they are a terrible company. Late a few days and they are calling all the ppl that I know, not listed on the application and telling them that they need to talk to me ASAP. They also swear you don't have insurance because they want to add to your loan and charge you for bs insurance, have spent the last yr having to send them monthly proof of insurance. I do not recommend using them, even if you are desperate.

This company is garbage...Never Again. Everyone says nothing but negative things about it and I see why. Customer Service is horrible they don't give a rats a** about you at all. Oh and don't have insurance issues with them they will overcharge you damn near the amount of the car. I do plan on taking them to court, they are a scam and crooked as hell. They will be shut down soon. You pay your car note on time and still have problems because there crooked period. And your stuck with a bucket. Shame on Gold Acceptance you by far don't even deserve a star you should be in the negative like your negative a**es. Swear to God I cant stand unprofessional business. Gold Acceptance you SUCK

I've paid my payment on time every single month for the past 9 months but worked slowed down this month because of the holidays so I called and told them that I needed more time to make this months payment but this would not be a problem later because work will pick up next week and is be able to pay both the past due month plus the next month any fees I may have incurred on the 27th. (one day before my payment becomes 30 days delinquent). After telling me all week that they will work with me she tells me that she's not going to do this and they will be here to pick up the car very soon. I'm so disappointed because all though this car was a Limon I prided myself in keeping up the payments on time and the moment I can't they take the car. I am sad I'm losing my Limon, but I am glad I am no longer in business with them.

The payments are a extremely inconvenient. They don't do automatic bill pay. They don't accept credit or debit to make payment. I have to go to a 7/11 and pay a fee to make my car payment. Their customer service is terrible. They are rude and absolutely do nothing to help with arrangements of facing a moment of hardship. I would definitely try and go through someone else if possible.
